Where is Tulamben?

Tulamben is on the far northeastern tip of Bali, between Amplapura and Singaraja. The nearest town is Amed, which is 20 minutes east.

Do you offer transportation to Tulamben?

We offer private, air conditioned transportation to and from the airport or any port/hotel in Bali.  The drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport is around 2.5 - 3.5 hours depending on traffic and the rate is 600,000 IDR for one-way transportation and 1,100,000 IDR for roundtrip. If you are more than 4 people, please contact us for transportation rates. 
 
If you are arriving to Sanur via a ferry or fast boat, you can arrange a pickup with us or take a taxi to the Sanur bus station and then catch a bus to Tulamben. Our rate is 500,000 IDR one-way or 1,000,000 IDR roundtrip.

What is the seasonal weather like in Bali?

Bali is located in the tropics so we enjoy a warm climate (25-35 °C) year round and our year is broken up into two seasons, wet and dry.  Wet season, or monsoon season, usually begins in November and ends in March. Our high season, the dryest and hotest months, is approximately April through October. The most popular time to visit Bali is between June and August when there is usually a cool breeze, less current, and smaller waves.

Can I withdraw or exchange money in Tulamben?

There are ATMs in town that service most major credit/debit card types, but it is recommended to verify with your bank before arriving.  The local market and some of the local restaurants do not accept card, so it is advised to carry Rupiah with you. We do have a money exchange service in the resort, but you can also go to the nearby town of Amed to find money exchange as well.

What are other dining options outside of the resort?

There are many restuarants and bars within a few minutes walking of Ocean View Dive Resort. If you would like a ride, our staff would be more than happy to help you.

Do you host events?

Yes, we can host events and group programs at our resort. We have quiet a large open air restaurant and garden space near the sea that we can use to set up event tables, chairs, etc. Please contact us directly for more information.

Question 8

What arrangements do you have for small children?

If you have a small child that requires a crib in the room, please notify us in advance and our staff would be more than happy to set that up for you. If you have older children that require a bed, we can add an extra single bed to any room for an additional fee of 200,000 IDR per night. We allow a maximum of 1 extra bed in a room. We also offer 2 family rooms that fit 4-5 people comfortably.
